What about historical buildings?

Italy is full of tall historical buildings, like the Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome, the Milan Cathedral, the Mole Antonelliana in Turin and so on. I think they should be included in the list. --Ita140188 (talk) 16:41, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bumping this. St. Peter's Basilica is taller than several of these buildings and there might be other historical buildings that are in the same situation. Ergo Sum 18:26, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Saint Peter's Basilica not in Italy

It's in the Vatican City, which is a separate nation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DERPALERT (talkcontribs) 22:16, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Architectural detail or roof?

Some buildings in this list, such as the Unicredit Tower in Milan, report height to the roof, other (Torre Littoria, or the Florence Cathedral) to the spire/architectural detail (as reported on the title). Some consistent way of measuring the height should be chosen. --Ita140188 (talk) 10:20, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Saint Mark's Campanile/ Campanile di San Marco

Is Saint Mark's Campanile not included because it does not meet the 330 feet requirement? It is 323 feet tall. But I noticed there is the two(?) entries at 328. I thought it significant enough of a landmark and tall structure in Italy to ask. InConSciOUS (talk) 07:37, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is not included since "Only habitable building are ranked which excludes radio masts and towers, observation towers, steeples, chimneys and other tall architectural structures", and probably the Campanile belongs to the "other tall architectural structures" category. Also other tall structures such as the Mole Antonelliana at 167 m and the Milan Cathedral at 108 m are not included for the same reason. --Ita140188 (talk) 07:56, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
