Payette's resignation date

Did she resign as governor general of Canada on January 21 or January 23, 2021. GoodDay (talk) 20:13, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop form shopping. https://www.gg.ca/en/governor-general/former-governors-general says January 21. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:57, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not forum shopping, for either date. Trying to bring consistency among them. GoodDay (talk) 21:04, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:21, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. You cross-posted it to multiple locations looking for editors to side with you. Talk:Governor General of Canada#Payette's resignation date Wikipedia talk:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board#Julie Payette and in Talk:Julie Payette#Resignation date. You make the claim than an editor is an WP:SPA, and from the implication, a CoI editor. Walter Görlitz (talk) 02:11, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand what you mean about the SPA/COI stuff. Anyways, I'm content if we're using the same resignation date, through out all related articles to this topic. GoodDay (talk) 02:14, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Read the link at Talk:Julie Payette#Resignation date where you make a veiled accusation about the editor. Walter Görlitz (talk) 04:06, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Viceroys

Both this page, and the official government of Canada website, claim that the first Governor General of Canada was Samuel de Champlain in 1627. However, this page also features a list of multiple "Viceroys of New France" prior to Champlain. If no source claims them as Governor Generals, aren't they irrelevant to this page? Or am I missing something, I admit I am not very knowledgeable about the subject. 69.156.5.6 (talk) 22:11, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I believe this note at Monarchy of Canada has some relevance. -- MIESIANIACAL 22:37, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
