Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just modified 4 external links on my sofware lates

  • Oppose : We should instead satisfy the requirement to point to sources. This page should ideally consist of a list of lands and link(s) for each land to the official list in that land. This would help minimize the maintenance edits on this page.Cobanyastigi (talk) 11:14, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Should this page be protected?

Hello. I was wondering if this page should be protected as someone may actually try to use this page in an emergency, and having a wrong number on this article could lead to real-life consequences in that case. For example, Wikipedia:Responding to threats of harm has a link to this page. I know that this is not a typical reason for protection, which is why I wanted to ask here first before posting on Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Thank you. William2001, agreed. I'll request. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 20:53, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About +86 12345

See zh:12345, I think this is a non-emergency service hotline. And it is also a tourist consultation hotline and other telephone mergers.--q28 (talk) 07:56, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So do we need to add this phone number and how to describe it?--q28 (talk) 15:00, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The number is not an emergency service, but a municipal service similar to 311. I'm not sure it should be added, but if it is then nothing more than a brief mention in the notes section. Wug·a·po·des 19:15, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Wugapodes:Yes, I also think this number can be put in the notes section of China. One of the functions of the 12345 is the tourist hotline, and since India's tourist hotline has been included in the notes section, China's should also be included in the notes section. Besides, 12345 has other functions in China.--q28 (talk) 04:46, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Under the 'notes' section of Finland, The number of poison information center, 0800 147 111, should be added. Source: https://www.hus.fi/en/potilaalle/sairaalat-ja-toimipisteet/myrkytystietokeskus 2001:14BB:6DC:119E:E995:639:CC1A:671 (talk) 11:03, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Emergency phone number sources for Norway. Most of the information currently lacks references. Here are sources for some of the numbers:

Partly done: I've added these references except for the second, the link for which doesn't work for me. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 20:51, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A computer interpretable version of this page

Is there a way to process the wikitext on this page to a more computer friendly version, say JSON, that then could be feed into more scripts? Or is there a version of the page, say on Wikidata, that would be more interpretable for computers? CoderThomasB (talk) 23:59, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please change for Slovenia, it says 112 is number for police, ambulance and fire. Emergency number for police in Slovenia is 113 and not 112. Even though 113 for Police is written in "Notes" section it should be written under "Police" to be more correct. In addition in "Notes" section it could be added:

Police non emergency/anonymous: 080 1200

Not done: As far as I can tell, 112 belongs in that box as it is the general emergency number, and calling it in any emergency is appropriate. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 17:35, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Regions

"Country" column should be "Country/Region" since there are several regions on the list, for example Åland islands, Akrotiri and Dhekelia, Northern Cyprus, etc. Angelos cy (talk) 19:26, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Germany 115. Semi-protected edit request on 28 November 2023

Location in article: EU-Table > Line: Germany > Column: Notes – the number 115 is listed as "Administration-emergency call".

Suggested action: Please delete "Administration-emergency call 115." from the cell.

Reason: The number has nothing to do with emergencies. It is just a general callcenter for government administration services & FAQ via phone.

Sources: https://www.115.de/SharedDocs/FAQs/DE/01_was_ist_die_behoerdennummer_115.html?nn=4578852 I noticed because I live in Germany and know from experience. ADLER (talk) 23:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done Also seems like some of the other numbers might be worth removing; do we really need the numbers for "Debit and credit card locking" here? That's a separate question though. Elli (talk | contribs) 21:39, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vatican

The Vatican entry is imprecise. It links the Italian Police instead of the Corps of Gendarmerie of Vatican City and the Italian firefighters instead of the Corps of Firefighters of the Vatican City State. Also, the Vatican hasn't its own mobile phone network and it relies on the Italian one, so 112 only works via landline. Mobile phones use the Italian (+39) 06698112, since 06698 is the prefix for Vatican numbers from Italy. I have no online sources, but I can eventually upload a photo of a emergency sign.
