Rank-order column (1,2,3) could be static and separate

See Help:Sorting#Initial alphabetical sort versus initial sort by rank order. See the section about adding a separate, static rank column (1,2,3) next to a table. This makes the table easier to maintain and update. --Timeshifter (talk) 03:54, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

404 Links

The first and third references, OECD and Taipei DoH are both returning error 404 for me. Assuming others can confirm this isn't just an issue on my end, the links should be updated. Khono (talk) 22:33, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This needs to tell us whether these numbers include private spending or are only public spending

What the subject says Mbarbier (talk) 14:14, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The OECD, WHO, and Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare statistics for total health expenditure are all for total health expenditure, not just public health expenditure. Statsagogo (talk) 19:33, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No flags for the charts

See: Talk:List of countries by incarceration rate#Removed flags for now. --Timeshifter (talk) 21:01, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I returned flags to the OECD chart. It is less of a problem now. I only see an alignment problem when I set my zoom level to 80% or less in Firefox. --Timeshifter (talk) 00:53, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How the tables were created this time

Go to: Commons:Convert tables and charts to wiki code or image files. See the section titled something like "Web to LibreOffice Calc to tab2wiki". It lists some of the tools and methods used. --Timeshifter (talk) 21:33, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

How the country names were quickly linked

See: regex - Notepad++. Need to add brackets before only first occurrence of characters in lines - Stack Overflow. See the answer by Erutan409. It explains how to instantly add brackets around all the country names. I used Notepad++. This method also works in NoteTab Light.

For more info see the relevant section in Commons:Convert tables and charts to wiki code or image files. --Timeshifter (talk) 12:06, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Updating the tables

I am updating the tables. See the visual editor section at the end of Help:Table for how-to info.

See:

"Healthcare in country" links

* indicates "Healthcare in COUNTRY" or "Health in COUNTRY" links.

See:

Both tables have been fully updated

Both are now using the same 4 years: 2018-2021. Both are using PPP international dollars. Both are not inflation adjusted.

So the numbers can be compared. Most of the time they are close.

It is now much easier for me to update these tables. I am more familiar with the eccentricities of copying and pasting tables between the Visual Editor and freeware LibreOffice Calc. See Help:Table. See the detailed sourcing info in the references. --Timeshifter (talk) 19:57, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OECD table fully updated

OECD table has been fully updated from the source. All years in the table were updated. See reference details and Help:Table.

It is important to update all the years at once to avoid problems. Problems caused by trying to update just the latest year or two by pasting those year columns into the old table. This can cause errors due to varying alphabetization problems, and country changes. --Timeshifter (talk) 23:24, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
