This article gives medical advice that is not supported by referencing (indeed, the only reference contradicts the artcile)Fat Red 02:12, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed some of the medical advice, making it just mention some treatments and not what foods should be eaten. Arbadihist

The fact that the first two paragraphs of this article contains clearly contradictory statements shows that this article requires evidence to back up vitamin and mineral deficiency claims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.217.196.33 (talk) 06:22, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Finger Nail Bitting

This condition can also be cuased by finger nail bitting.

Add to article fingernail?

This should be added to the article fingernail or a seperate article about nail problems. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.81.199.96 (talk) 23:27, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the white?

Good short article about what it looks like and what causes it, but nothing about what the white bits actually are – what is it that makes that bit of the nail white? Richard New Forest (talk) 11:26, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of Zinc

This article contains no reference to Leukonychia being caused by zinc deficiency. Although the page on zinc deficiency does link here as one of the causes. 81.101.250.78 (talk) 21:56, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Taking multivitamins may cause the white spots for some people

I noticed over the last 30 years that (almost) every time I take multivitamins, I develop some white spots on the fingernails. If I don't take them (sometimes for a few years), I never get the spots. It would be interesting if some other people could confirm this. For the last 15 years or so, I took Centrum A to Z multivitamins (only sporadically). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.174.62.159 (talk) 11:16, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
