There are a bunch of points in this article that need to be verified and edited for basic clarity. Under "History of leprosy stigma" the claim "Since leprosy was found infectious, another kind of cause worsened leprosy stigma. In Japan, forced segregation strengthened leprosy stigma. Leprosy stigma has been universal, and has been present in all parts where leprosy was present" needs to be clarified and verified.

The topic: Cases written by Jopling needs to be verified.
Cases in Japan, needs to be verified particularly the claim that"The law lasted until 1996." and "Some of them attempted suicide." Who attempted suicide?

The claim that "there was little evidence of stigma" in Exceptional cases in Scandinavia needs to be verified. At several points in the article it dissolves into personal opinion. "The general public has misconceptions about leprosy, particularly regarding the degree of its contagiousness, and a campaign should be carried out to enhance public knowledge of leprosy's curability." "In the past, there was a history of the press which worsened leprosy stigma." Not only are these points not verified, they're broad and really just opinion.
