Campus and Departments

[Quote]"Best StudentsProminent and most distinguished students include Dr.Bashir Hussain Dr.Sara Saleem,Dr.Naela Goheir,Dr.Imran Shahid."[/quote]

Never mind the punctuation, the names as well, but... My point is when these great people will have there own page on Wikipedia then they can be added in the KEMU section. I hope whoever entered this info is also writing the pages on all these people with there respective achievements. The entry does not belongs to the section "Campus and Departments". It belongs to "Research and Reputation" section which was removed because of the same reason that the people involved and the research involved and the achievements were not documented and thus could not be cited as reference.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Acetylcholine (talk • contribs) 22:24, 23 February 2007 (UTC).

And now the same has been added to the Notable alumini, without any reference. Please provide references. Acetylcholine 15:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

King Edward Medical University (KEMU)King Edward Medical University — KEMU is not exclusive for this institution, as there is another university using the same abbreviation of KEMUAcetylcholine 13:27, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support: The acronym is redundant. Reginmund 17:43, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. There seems no reason to include the acronym in the title. The title that English speakers would use would be most unlikely to include it. Andrewa 10:06, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. The previous acronym for this institution was KEMC, now its KEMU, here in Pakistan people tend to use lot of acronyms and therefore i moved the article to this new title to get the first hit from google when people search for KEMU on google (this is what i have given as a reason in histry) and it worked but recently another university from Kenya is using the same acronym and so it no longer remains exclusive for this university. Also i have added a new sentence in the second line of the article to tell that its acronym is KEMU and its sufficient, i should have done that before, but it did not came into my mind that time. Thanks. Acetylcholine 11:16, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

Any additional comments:

I guess the Title "King Edward Medical University", without KEMU in it, is best, as there is another university referred to as KEMU in Kenya. Thus the title becomes exclusive. Acetylcholine 13:32, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed from King Edward Medical University (KEMU) to King Edward Medical University as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 12:10, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone is constantly adding this to the main article. Is there any proof? Acetylcholine (talk) 18:07, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KEMCOL

KEMCOL : Kemcol is a prestigious magazine of this University. I think there must be a few lines about this as it is as essential to the history of this university as the building is.Razaawais141 (talk) 16:05, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:King Edward Medical University/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The article has some meaningful content, but most readers will need much more information. Also, it needs improvements in organization. On priority, I have made this Mid-class for the Pakistan project as it fills in some more specific knowledge of certain areas rather than dealing with a general area of knowledge. Of course, as a medical school it is of high importance. Umar Zulfikar Khan (talk) 06:53, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
