This

This is what I imagine "extreme breastfeeding"[1] really means. Sneaking into a sleeping lion's den and suckling. Anyway, well done article and very topical. Green Cardamom (talk) 15:38, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Split the article

These are two different phenomena and deserve two distinct articles. A previous editor changed one of the section titles from "Suckling of animals by humans" to "Breastfeeding by animals of humans". Frankly, neither sounds great to me, and nor does the first section "Breastfeeding by animals of humans" (although that somehow sounds less...wrong?). So, any suggestions of what to name the new articles? --Carbon Caryatid (talk) 16:48, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I can’t say I agree with splitting in two articles. The article, marked as a vital topic and B-class entry, is nicely organized, not overly long, and the title covers both phenomena. I suggest leaving as is and perhaps reworking the subheaders if you object to them. Innisfree987 (talk) 17:33, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I can't see that splitting would be helpful. The sections could be simply Humans breastfeeding (other) animals, and Animals nursing humans; or for clarity Women breastfeeding infant animals, and Animals nursing human infants. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:09, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose splitting the article, per Innisfree's reasoning. The two subject matters are related. nagualdesign 19:09, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
