I felt the need to create this page, since it covers an interesting topic related to jet engines. It might be merged to some other page as well. Anyway, I'm available for suggestions. Have a good night! Cpt Vidal (talk) 01:34, 28 January 2011 (UTC).
I believe that most jet-engines that are started by air do have some starter motor, connected to core shaft (say, N2). I other words - starting air is not sent directly to high-pressure turbine stages, but to this air driven motor instead. This is my belief, based on articles I have read (e.g. see huffer page).
