Copyright problem?

The justification for the copyright violation tag was that "too much of the material is medical jargon". Couldn't this just indicate that the author has medical training? Pburka (talk) 12:36, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps so. Personally I don't have enough expertise, talent, knowledge to figure this out. I hope someone with more experience can take a look, hence the tag.--S. Rich (talk) 20:16, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've searched Google for several distinctive phrases from this article and have found no matches. All indications are that it's original. I suggest that if you have concerns about the quality or originality of the article you should leave a note on the author's talk page. Given that this is a new user, I think it's quite likely that this is an expert contributing a well researched and well referenced article on his topic of expertise. Thank you indeed. I did post a welcome message to the author. Also, I would think the author would look at the tag and comment. In any event, the tag was successful in drawing your attention and contribution. My contribution? Gnomish ce. My benefit? A lot of info on a condition which causes me some discomfort. Happy editing. --S. Rich (talk) 23:16, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Author info

Hi there. I'm not the one who's been editing this page recently, but one of my classmates has, as a part of a Intro Neuro class assignment at Georgia Tech. I don't know who he/she is (the class is fairly large) but I hope this clears some things up. Many of us are not aware of user pages/talk pages (I wasn't aware of these until today), which is why the author probably has not been responding. You, your instructor, and the editor might look at WP:SUP. (BTW, your classsmate probably worked up the article in the sandbox, then transferred it without taking any subsequent looks. No problem. Others have come along and done various fixes.) --S. Rich (talk) 02:19, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contradictory

Doesn`t this line Contradict itself? Which is it 0.8 per 100,000 or somewhere in-between 7.4 - 14.5 per 100,000
