I think it would be better to change the following sentence "Femoral hernias occur just below the inguinal ligament, when abdominal contents pass through a naturally occurring weakness called the femoral canal" as ,

Femoral hernias occur just below the inguinal ligament, when abdominal contents pass through a naturally occurring weakness in the femoral canal called as the femoral ring I would like peoples opinion on this. (Studentmed (talk) 13:27, 2 June 2008 (UTC)).

Classification

When there's an annotated illustration alongside, it makes sense to use it to aid understanding! However, there's a difficulty: the table lists three types of femoral hernia that are not shown; is there an illustration that shows all the types of hernia in the table? If not, is there an illustration that shows (or are there illustrations that show) the types of hernia not in the current illustration? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 05:28, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
