Change Exo(group) to EXO(group) EXO4seasons (talk) 06:14, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

No, Wikipedia uses normal English rules and not stylizations MOS:TMRULES Evaders99 (talk) 06:38, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
I undestand normal English rules for naming, but EXO have their name all capitalised in hangul & English, & thats why it needs to be edited per say — Preceding unsigned comment added by EXO4seasons (talkcontribs) 05:31, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Have another look at the manual of style guideline that was linked: MOS:TMRULES. We don't use the stylizations, though we do indicate the fact that they exist, done here through "stylized in all caps". For some other examples, have a look at Twenty One Pilots, Korn, or Fun (band) – it's just how things are done on Wikipedia. Volteer1 (talk) 06:40, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
I read the manual thoroughly, do it under this section in the manual, m adding the subtext here:: Using all-caps is preferred if the letters are pronounced individually, even if they don't (or no longer) stand for anything. For instance, use SAT for the testing system (formerly the Scholastic Assessment Test) and KFC for the fast-food restaurant (formerly Kentucky Fried Chicken). Using all-lowercase letters may likewise be acceptable if it is done universally by sources, such as with the webcomic xkcd.
& about the bandnames u suggested, they all include special alphabets & symbols, dont understand the relevance with simple Exo to EXO change without any special alphabets — Preceding unsigned comment added by EXO4seasons (talkcontribs) 17:04, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@EXO4seasons: All the names you mentioned off the MoS were initialisms. Exo is not an initialism. And if you actually fucking read the lines before that, you would know that it also mentioned Asus and how the article's title should not be in all caps, also why don't you take a look at Hrvy, Changmo, and hell, even [Max] Changmin before you reply here you brainlet, OK? —beetricks ~ talk · email 18:59, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@Beetricks: now now, be nice and be polite. – robertsky (talk) 20:28, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
@EXO4seasons: I would like to take back the insults and say sorry to you. I should have been better typing my response without calling you a "brainlet" there.beetricks ~ talk · email 20:34, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
Not done: As laid out in replies by Evaders and Beetricks. – robertsky (talk) 20:25, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

to all the insults & sorries here, i wont reply & to others who can try to have reasonable arguments here to read this again, the subtext i added : Using all-caps is preferred if the letters are pronounced individually, even if they don't (or no longer) stand for anything. EXO is read as E X O & EXO in whole both ways, thtas why I am asking to change Exo(group) to EXO(group) — Preceding unsigned comment added by EXO4seasons (talkcontribs) 08:21, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Not done: Consider this request closed. the MOS is clear on this. – robertsky (talk) 09:02, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Good Article Reassessment

Result: Delisted. Legitimate concerns, no opposition or improvements made; Matters raised in the reassessment were not addressed. These matters will remain valid until the next GA Review, whereupon they must be addressed first. --Whiteguru (talk) 05:39, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

– I think "Exo" more commonly refers to the group. TheRafaMarc15 (talk) 11:59, 9 October 2021 (UTC)

While I don't necessarily agree with the similar situation regarding the Twice article, it has become abundantly clear that the community not be prioritizing words or disambiguation pages when there an obvious relevant topic actually exists. As WP:NWFCTM states, one's own personal background does not determine a primary topic, and the incredibly WP:BIAS, condescending undertones of the comments ("average boy band", really?) show a lack of WP:CLUE. A primary topic is determined not by the average reader, it is determined by the most relevant page one expects when searching for a specific term, in this case "Exo". Let's be real here, the average person searching for "Exo" is not interested in reading about the prefix. It certainly doesn't show. Search results indicate, both on Wikipedia and off, that the music group is what people searching. plicit 14:00, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Support per Explicit's reasoning above. Alex (talk) 15:48, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
  • Support as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Almost everyone that is actively searching for "Exo" on Wikipedia (so, the actual readers for this particular topic) is looking for the group, as shown by the stats above, 95%+ of all pageviews. Almost everyone that lands on the dab page clicks the group next. Disambiguation should take the reader to the most likely desired destination, in this case, the group. There's no article for the prefix and Wikipedia is not a dictionary. As an aside, I'll never understand some users' extreme contempt towards entertainment topics here on Wikipedia, as a sizable part of our readership uses Wikipedia mainly to look up entertainment topics. LAY (Zhang Yixing) left EXO, as said on his Twitter homepage. It was on EXO's 10th anniversary. That is also the reason for his new song JIU. Mylastsong (talk) 22:44, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:05, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Lay has left SM Entertainmen, but it is unclear if he has left the group too. Part of his handwritten letter uploaded to social media stated, "I will always be the Lay when my members need me." Alex (talk) 23:24, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Just looked at the article again, and it looks like this is already mentioned anyway. Alex (talk) 23:26, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Include reference to their most recent single release, "BIRD - THE BEST Ver." within the 2020 - Present section as it marks the first stage of the group comeback. Mature Cheddar (talk) 15:03, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 15:27, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi, here is two links that should act as appropriate reliable sources,
Here is the twitter post from the Official Japanese account of EXO announcing the single release. https://twitter.com/EXO_NEWS_JP/status/1647219169207910403?s=20
Here is the release on their official spotify page.

Thanks Mature Cheddar (talk) 15:41, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Unfortunately I wouldn't say either of these qualify as a reliable source for anything more than listing this as a part of their discography; the announced single could be of a previous recording, which is not clarified in the tweet from the group's Twitter account (Spotify would be acceptable only for song titles and release dates, but IMO not descriptions). Please consult WP:RS to get a sense of what qualifies as a reliable source, then provide one here. --Pinchme123 (talk) 14:51, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
