Further education versus higher education

I think this list could make a better job of distinguishing further education (i.e. teaching people who, for the main part, are aged 16 to 18 and teaching what are known as "A" levels (or, in German, Abitur)) and higher education (i.e. teaching people aged eighteen plus up to degree level)).Vorbee (talk) 16:40, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm! Rightly or wrongly, I've reverted the text to the version before that group started editing, as the content it/they added concerned exclusively the United States, while this page should have a global scope. The content may still be accessed through the page history, and might conceivably find a place in an article such as Educational institutions in the United States (if we had such a thing). Discussion about what to do with this article

You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Schools § What to do about Educational institution?. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:55, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As the referred discussion is archived I will continue here. Now this article only contains a list, and all its elements are better presented in the Template:School types. I propose deleting this article and redirect to School as suggested in the archived discussion. Sda030 (talk) 13:16, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Libraries and museums?

Aren't libraries and museums educational institutions (or educational organizations)? This list is too teaching centric. In other areas of Wikipedia, libraries are often under educational categories. Dpleibovitz (talk) 22:03, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
