With this edit, I removed the inadequate use of a template. Templates such as {{german | Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe | March 3, 2009}} are meant only to credit the contributors of an external site, namely those who contributed to the article of the German wikipedia. Since wikipedia is not and cannot be considered to be a reliable source, trying to use this template for referencing is completely inadequate. Since someone copied unreferenced information from the German wikipedia article and since there is a need for reliable references, the {{fact}} template is adequate, with the use of {{german | Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe | March 3, 2009}} at the end of the article. The way that it is being used here, is appears that once someone finds a proper source, the inadequate reference to the German wikipedia will disappear completely. This is clearly in violation of the rights of the contributors of the German wikipedia. The information is there because someone brought it in the German wikipedia. The streetcars and subway vehicles of the Toronto Transit System also use a gauge just slightly wider than standard gauge. This slightly wider gauge was chosen in the 19th Century so conventional rail vehicles couldn't compete on the TTC's tracks.

So, why does Dresden use a wider gauge?

is "Dresden Transport Authority" a good name for this article?

"DTA" sounds like an English-ism...something invented by people familar with similar organizations in English-speaking countries. I couldn't spot any English pages on the DVB.de pages, but the city of Dresden (which is the ultimate owner of DVB) does not refer to DTA on its English pages. They talk about "Dresden transport corporation" (at http://www.dresden.de/en/03/09/c_01.php?lastpage=zur%20Ergebnisliste). I also note that the Spanish article on the same subject doesn't have a Spanish name, it just is called Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe. Wouldn't such a name be a more accurate name for the English article, too?
