I changed the IUPAC Name from 3-[2-(dimethylaminomethyl)-1-hydroxy-cyclohexyl]phenol to 3-[2-(1-amino-1-methylethyl)-1-hydroxycyclohexyl]phenol. The original name converts to the WRONG structure —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChemSpiderMan (talk • contribs) 00:30, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Worries about the last section (specifically the part about overdoses)
The last section is misleading af, as it states that: "Desmetramadol has recently been marketed as a currently legal substitute for illegal opioid drugs, either in powder form or mixed into various other preparations. One such blend sold under the brand Krypton and containing powdered kratom leaf (Mitragyna speciosa) laced with desmetramadol was reportedly linked to at least 9 accidental deaths from overdose during 2010–2011."
My issues are: Where has it been linked to 9 overdoses? In which country? Also, 2010 and for a period of 1 year? That seems not only like an old statistic (as it's more than a decade old) but also statistically insignificant (I'd like to know exactly how many of all the regular consumers of Demetramadol died because of their use, WITHIN a SINGLE country or throughout the ENTIRE WORLD, but mentioning the statistics for a SINGLE country, Sweden, is misleading, especially when they're so small, 9 cases in total). This paragraph is misleading at best and I'm not saying that new sources should be included or that more sources should be added, all I'm saying is that the paragraph should be rewritten to reflect its real implications more accurately; such as by dropping the phrase "[desmetramadol] has been linked to 9 overdoses", which makes it sound like a global trend and danger when it's just the statistic for a single country (Sweden) for a single year (2010-2011) in numbers which are statistically insignificant (9 cases in total; also, desmettramadol was just "IMPLICATED" in those cases, not the single cause). As such, either add more sources or rewrite the paragraph or delete it. --177.227.43.185 (talk) 03:36, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
