Progesterone does not initiate decidualization

The article says that "After ovulation, the high levels of progesterone initiate the molecular changes leading to decidualization.". There is debate about this:

"It is widely assumed that progesterone initiates the decidual process. However, this is not the case, and undifferentiated cells are in fact remarkably refractory to progesterone signaling" ([1], p. 446) SchipholAirport (talk)
