The article currently asserts "...resulting in the maximum power of a single piston or turboprop engine to drive two propellers..."
This is asserted, in the article in several places. The article doesn't try to explain why contra-rotating propellers result in more power. This should be explained. Geo Swan (talk) 03:23, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- It is not that contra-rotating propellers result in more power, but that more power can be applied to an already size-limited propeller disk area.
