As to WikiProject Chicago, I do not believe there is a significant connection between the CAP and the larger Chicago-area community. However, I do believe this should be of slightly higher import to the WikiProject Medicine as the organization has 18,000 physician members and is heavily involved in accrediting medical laboratories and providing laboratory improvement programs. I will review the page and add anything of importance. Aaronjosborne (talk) 16:56, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

All you pathologists and wikipedians out there: Please help with this page. I know that CAP is one of the leading certification bodies for labs, but I don't know the sources to reference. LCarl 18:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We added information regarding the College of American Pathologists and it is NOT copyright infirgement, as it is currenlty labeled. That info was developed by the CAP, as was the info on the CAP site. There is no copyright infringement. Last week I sent an e-mail to the address listed on the Wikipedia instructions {permissions-en at wikimedia dot org} but have not heard anything back. Please let us know what we have to do to get the incorrect label off of this page. Thank you. Mebjones (talk) 03:20, 20 January 2008 (UTC) mebjones[reply]

We have posted the notice above in January, that the material is absolutely NOT a copyright infrigement. We sent a note to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org highlighting that same effect on January 14 and again on February 5. We received an e-mail back on February 7 that read "Thank you for the e-mail" however the label is still on the site. We are now sending a postal letter to that same effect to Wikimedia Foundation Inc. P.O. Box 78350 San Francisco, CA 94107-8350 USA Please let us know what else we need to do. Thank you very much.User:Mebjones 9:36, 6 March 2008 (UTC) mebjones

Explain this on this article's discussion page, then either display a notice to this effect at the site of original publication or send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org or a postal letter to the Wikimedia Foundation.
