orange skin

At first glance this seems absurd, so I googled for "carrot juice orange skin" and found that there really are some sites that say carrot juice will turn your sking orange. However I also found, others that say it was due to the carrot juice causing the temporary release of excess bilirubin that was of poor quality [1]. Negative claims seem fallacious

I could not find any supporting evidence on the negative health claims for weakened hair and clogged arteries on PubMed database or a general web search. Additionally, the article claims that an 8 oz serving contains as much sugar as a can of soda; both Pepsi and Classic Coke contain ~27g of sugar, whereas my bottle of Odwalla Carrot Juice contains 13g of sugar for the same serving size. Basil Brown reference not accurate.

Basil Brown most certainly died from active Vitamin A supplementation tablets. His wife stated he was taking them at the time of his death.

It is impossible to die from eating too many carrots ( at least from Vitamin A poisoning ). Carrots contain an inactive form of Vitamin A known as Beta Carotene, and must be metabolized by the body in order to for what we know as Vitamin A. Excess beta carotene in the body will not be converted to Vitamin A.

Excessive beta carotene can temporarily turn the skin an orange color, but it is harmless and temporary.

[ej] If true, I think it is worth mentioning that there are no health risks. Also I think the reported overdose is worth mentioning. Yield

Missing units in the nutritional information
