Sold only in 23 states?

This claim is probably outdated, since I can even buy it here in Mexico. Latapi (talk) 21:34, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Blue Bell website history page (as of 22 April, 2015) still states this fact (emphasis mine): "And although Blue Bell is only available in about 30% of the nation’s supermarkets, it ranks as one of the top three, best-selling ice creams in the country. Our products are sold in 23 states including: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina and parts of Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming. No matter how much the market grows, quality standards never change and are never diluted or compromised. That's why, people who are lucky enough to live where they can buy Blue Bell Ice Cream, say it's 'the best ice cream in the country.'" → talk page (JakeBathman) 15:56, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bush Blue bell

Resolved

I'm not positive, but i believe that President Bush has bluebell ice cream shipped to him in the white house, as it's not availible in Washington, D.C. Could someone verify the fact and add it? 70.153.93.73 02:38, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article now says, "People living outside the sales area can have the ice cream shipped to them, and U.S. President George W. Bush often had the ice cream shipped to Camp David during his administration." I will mark this section as resolved. ---Another Believer (Talk) 04:26, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Rumor has it that the Blue Bell logo (girl with cow in tow) was drawn by an art student named Leta Kaye who became fairly active in Texas politics.

If someone can find a source citation for this it can go back in the article. Dpbsmith (talk) 16:38, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which decade?

"By the 1960s, the company completely abandoned the production of butter and began focusing solely on ice cream. By the end of the decade, the company began to expand their markets. After many years of selling ice cream only in Brenham, the company began selling in Houston, then in Dallas and throughout most of Texas. By the end of the decade, their sales had quadrupled. . . ."

This is a little unclear. Does the second "by the end of the decade. . ." refer to the 1960s? The 1970s? Emoll 21:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2015 listeriosis outbreak

@Everyking: I'm intrigued why you think that an unencyclopedic list of what days different flavours of ice cream are due to go back into stores is anything other than PR/marketing cruft? Keri (talk) 18:32, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with Keri. I removed flavors. There needs to be consensus to restore. Sundayclose (talk) 19:15, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Goodness. It seemed like useful information to me, but if you two feel so strongly about it, leave it out. Everyking (talk) 07:57, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
