TCOM Wikipedia Editing Medicine Elective

Hi, I'm a fourth year medical student at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine who will be editing this article over the next few weeks as part of a medical writing elective course that I'm taking. I will adhere to the WikiProject medicine manual of style. I plan on improving the article, updating the citations, and adding to the diagnosis section. Project Timeline:

  • Week 1 (03/01/21-03/05/21) - read up on background information, identify additional resources; determine the need for new article sections
  • Week 2 (03/08/21-03/12/21) - continue to read; check current resources, begin article edits
  • Week 3 (03/15/21-03/19/21) - complete online edits of article in preparation for peer review
  • Week 4 (03/22/21-03/26/21) - incorporate feedback into the article and making changes where necessary
