Regarding

Regarding Adrenal_adenoma could someone with sufficicient knowledge of the subject please merge that into this article and redirect? Richard cocks 23:10, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For those who question the section on appendix cystadenoma, I can only defend myself by stating that I myself was operated on a month ago after a tumor was discovered in my appendix via a CAT scan and it was determined by the pathologist at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City to be cystadenoma.

Can someone please clarify: "Adrenal adenomas are common, 1 in 10 people have them malignant and asymptomatic ... About one in 10,000 is malignant." Does this mean that the average person has ~1000 adenoma since 1/10000 are malignant? 1000 per person divided by 10000 malignant occurance = 1 in 10 people? Or should the first "malignant" be "benign"? From an average person standpoint, this seems like a large number, and there is no reference for this to look further. I have found http://www.answers.com/topic/adenoma?cat=health which seems to be nearly a copy+paste of this entire paragraph, except that it says "benign" and not "malignant"... Thanks. WPMED assessment

I assessed the article as start class (see the infobox at the top of this talk page). The article needs more context, including a "see also" section, additional navboxes, and references. --Una Smith (talk) 22:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Treatment

I just added this treatment section. I wanted to include some general information about the treatment of adenomas, but I think that there is not such thing as an "adenoma specialist", and that usually these are treated by specialists who focus on whatever location at which the adenoma might appear. This is why I think I had trouble finding a general adenoma treatment article or a general adenoma description article - adenomas in different places seem like entirely different diseases.

But below a set of unsourced information which I added, I gave a specific example of how adenoma treatment goes in a commonly-encountered case. I think this gives some idea to the reader of what adenoma treatment can mean. Blue Rasberry (talk) 20:55, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
