Template:Infobox EU accession bid

is not needed to be included anymore. I would have liked to exchange it but I couldn't find the right template. Could so plz update the article with the correct EU template? Thanks, --Scriberius (talk) 14:00, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Macro ramifications in lede

I added a sentence about ramifications for Serbia and Macedonia's candidacies for EU membership. I was a bit sloppy though and was reverted. I think the macro aspect is important and so is providing links to Accession of Serbia to the European Union and Accession of Macedonia to the European Union. Does anyone have thoughts on the best approach? Here are some sources: [1] [2] [3] My suggestion would be to add the following sentence to the last paragraph of the lede section: "Serbia and Macedonia are both candidates for European Union membership, but they face similar challenges to those of Croatia had to overcome in its ascension." —Zujine|talk 16:41, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how is that relevant for this already closed chapter in the EU enlargement. There are far more suitable articles to add it such as Enlargement of the European Union to which this article already points. Shokatz (talk) 18:04, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You shouldn't start with the lead section in any case. First add an "Impact" or "Aftermath" section that describes what the sources say in a modicum of detail, and only then consider summarizing that part in the lead - if it's significant enough. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:06, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting error

In the statistics section of this article’s infobox the part showing Croatia’s gdp per capita isn’t properly formatted and the coding, {{{national_gdp_ppp_per_capita}}}, is exposed. I’m not keen in Wikipedia formatting so I wanted to alert this to those who are and who are able to fix this.
