The State of Palestine has an embassy in Montevideo.[1] The Oriental Republic of Uruguay has an embassy in Ramallah.[2] Uruguay recognized the State of Palestine in 2011,[3][4] without specifically recognizing borders.[5][6] There is a small Palestinian population in Uruguay, numbering a few thousands.[7]
