Zubair Ali is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as the Mayor of Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province[1][2][3] He is the son of former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali[4]

Career
In the 2021 local government elections, Zubair Ali contested as a candidate of JUI-F and won the mayoral seat with a convincing margin of around 11,500 votes, securing 62,388 votes. His closest rival, Rizwan Bangash of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), received 50,669 votes, while Zarak Arbab of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) got 45,000 votes[5][6]
Family
He is the son of former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, and a son in law of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman [4]
