Three Mirrors Creature's Flashes of Flesh, also known as Flashes of Flesh, is a 2023 science fiction arthouse drama film conceived, written, produced, shot, edited and directed by Giuliano Tomassacci and starring Michela Bruni, who also contributed the script.[1][2][3] The cast also features Samantha Abear, Claudio Losavio and Federica Pocaterra.[4][5][6][7][8]With a running time of seven hours and twenty-two minutes[9] it is among the longest films ever made.[10][11][12]The film is largely black-and-white (with some scenes tinted blue), has no spoken dialogues[13]and alternates multi-dynamic image technique[14][15]in fast paced editing[16][17]with slow-cinema long-takes[18][19][20]. It was selected as a semi-finalist at the 2022 Blow-Up Chicago International Arthouse Film Festival[21][22]and premiered at the Filmhuis Klappei in Antwerp on December 9, 2023 in its full-length version[23]interspersed by four intermissions.[24]</ref>[25][26][27]The film focuses on an unscrupulous successful manager (Bruni)[28][29]who converts to an ascetic life embarking on an enlightening journey.[30][10][31]
