This is a tracking category. It is used to build and maintain lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves and their use in article and category maintenance. It is not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme. More information: This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (Appearance → Show hidden categories) is set. This is a tracking category for Bare URL references to PDF documents (e.g. <ref>http://example.com/fubar.pdf</ref>) which have been tagged with {{Bare URL PDF}} (e.g. <ref>http://example.com/fubar.pdf {{Bare URL PDF|date=April 2024}}</ref>)

These bare URL refs are tracked separately because tools such as Citation bot, Reflinks and reFill cannot extract metadata from PDF documents, so the metadata such as title, author and publication date needs to be added manually.
