Arkavazi Rural District (Persian: دهستان اركوازئ) is in the Central District of Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Murt.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Chavar District of Ilam County) was 4,640 in 935 households.[5] There were 4,384 inhabitants in 1,006 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,702 in 915 households. The most populous of its 51 villages was Murt, with 1,088 people.[2]

In November 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chavar County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Chavar as its capital and only city.[3]
