Zoggendorf is a constituent community of Heiligenstadt in Oberfranken in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It has a population of 110 inhabitants.

History
The first certification comes from 1163. The first ensured certification was 1371. On 1 January 1971, Zoggendorf was established in the market of Heiligenstadt.[1]

"Zoggendorf, ein kleines Dorf von 16 Haushaltungen an der Leinleiter zwischen Burggrub und Heiligenstadt, darinnen der Herr Baron v. Stauffenberg zu Burggrub Dorfs- und Gemeinde-, Zehend und Jagd- und Wasserherr, das Hochstift vom Amt Ebermannstadt aus hoher Gerichtsherr ist.“ „Von dasigen Untertanen gehören 2 Mann dem Hochstift ins Kastenamt Ebermannstadt, 4 Mann dem Fürstlichen Hause Brandenburg-Culmbach, Amt Streitberg, 2 Mann dem Herrn Grafen v Giech ins Schloß Wiesentfels und 8 Mann dem Herrn Baron v. Stauffenberg ins Schloß Burggrub, welche 10 letztere beim Ritterkanton Gebürg stehen.“ „Die Gemeinde hat ein Stück Fischwasser frei, bekennt sich zur evangelischen Religion und pfarrt nach Heiligenstadt. Ehehin gehörte dieses Zochendorf den Herrn v. Streitberg, nach deren Absterben es erst so zertrümmert worden ist."[2]
Description
"Zoggendorf, a small village with 16 households, is located on the Leinleiter between Burggrub and Heiligenstadt. In this village, Baron v. Stauffenberg of Burggrub holds various rights including village and community authority, tithe, hunting, and water rights, while the high court authority comes from the Hochstift (Prince-Bishopric) administered by the Office of Ebermannstadt."
Name
The village was probably named by the first villager, then, in the 19th century. After gradual writing and pronunciation changes since, the name is currently Zoggendorf.
