Request to add about history of Stomatology in Dentistry page of English Wikipedia.

Dentistry aka stomatolgy is a medical speciality. Till beginning of 21st century in countries like Spain France Italy Portugal and Austria stomatology was a 3 yr specialisation after medical school. It got separated in US and UK in late 19th century and the rest of europe followed especially after joining European Union. Dentists/Stomatologist are specialists of oral and maxillofacial region and no other specialty deals with it. Sagnikds6 (talk) 14:31, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed for deletion (WP:PROD): Periowave - (photodynamic therapy machine)

FYI, the article Periowave has been proposed for deletion (WP:PROD). The first sentences summarize the subject this way:

  • "The Periowave is an antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (a-PDT) machine. It is used in periodontics, endodontics, and operative dentistry to kill bacteria or inhibit the growth of bacteria (e.g. Porphyromonas gingivalis). "

The nominator wrote this summary of their concerns:

  • "Non-notable product. No significant independent coverage located on a search."

If you agree or disagree with deletion, there are instructions on the deletion notice for what to do.

Unsourced Dental surgery

Hello -- Dental surgery has been completely unsourced since November 2007 and is now among the oldest unsourced articles. If someone could add at least one or two academic sources that would be very helpful. Embarrassingly I've tried but failed to find an online non-commercial source that supports the use of the term as described. Thanks, Espresso Addict (talk) 10:47, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
