Help: adding a CfD

I need help I am trying to list a wp:CfD. I followed the instructions but the complete daily list of CfDs is listed instead odf the specific CfD. Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 16:34, 9 November 2016 (UTC)please ping me[reply]

Hi Ottawahitech. Thank you for notifying this WikiProject of the CfD discussion. Unfortunately, transclusion doesn't work for CfD discussions the way it does for AfD discussions, so we have a separate section of the page for them. We usually just add a little text describing the proposal and a link to the CfD discussion, as I have done here. (Usually, there's no need to be so wordy because the relevance of the discussion is more obvious.) Thanks again. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:23, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Malik Shabazz: Thank you for wp:pinging me. For an editor like me who is simply ignored 9 out of 10 times, if not outright verbally attacked, it is an unusual experience to have another editor go out of their way to help, so I wanted to make sure I don’t forget to thank you.
I also wanted to say I am not familiar with deletion sorting because I usually find placing WikiProject banners on talkpages to be a more efficient way of getting Article alerts to projects when pages are nominated. However, as you very astutely noticed, in this case Category:Presbyterian mayors does not belong in the Judaism project, so a one time listing is more appropriate.
