I don't even know what a sock-puppet is. Why does someone have a problem with the username I chose? I took alternative names in order to protect Monte Melkonian and my own personal identity. I would like to start an investigation on the person making the baseless accusations. How would I go about doing so? Monte Melkonian (talk) 02:48, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You may post at WP:ANI if you would like to make a complaint about the actions of any particular editor. In this case, we simply made a reasonable request to make sure that you weren't the same as another editor who has been banned, as your editing pattern showed similarities. In fact, it turns out that you two are unrelated, so there are no problems henceforth. There was nothing malicious on my part (I live in America, and I have no stake in the Armenia-Azerbaijan-Georgia-etc. debate): the only person who knows your IP right now is the Checkuser who finished this report, and he is keeping it strictly confidential, so that no personal information is used against you.
