Conflicts with other WP event

Should this be rescheduled? It conflicts with another WP event on the same day.[1] Calliopejen1 (talk) 01:12, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Calliopejen1: I had brought that up with the organizer of the other WP event, before that event was posted. This event was posted well before that event was posted, with the page going live on 6 December 2018. I see that the events will be less than 3 miles away from each other. I cannot speak for the organizer of the Art and Feminism event why there was a scheduled time overlap.
The Art and Feminism events were not added to Meetup/Los Angeles until 10 February.
If the event is moved until after the A+F event is scheduled to end, this event won't start until 1700, and those of us driving up from San Diego County won't get home until well past 2100.--RightCowLeftCoast (Moo) 04:03, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Another alternative, if this event is moved, is to move it to begin at 1000, but that would necessitate those of us driving up from San Diego County would need to leave around 0700-0730.--RightCowLeftCoast (Moo) 04:14, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Calliopejen1, DrMel, and StaceyEOB: Schedule de-conflicted.--RightCowLeftCoast (Moo) 05:28, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey all, it's really not a problem that these conflict. Art+Feminism is a big campaign that happens every March, and the museums have to schedule according to their needs. There are concurrent A+F events on 3/31 too. It's a big community and not a problem. Those events are also geared more toward new editors with training, etc., so please don't feel the need to reschedule. StaceyEOB (talk) 05:41, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hopefully the de-confliction allows editors to attend both events, rather than just one.--RightCowLeftCoast (Moo) 05:58, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
