We refer to this user essay in the first NOT clause of WP:DRVPURPOSE. I falsely claimed that this was a guideline in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James Cook (footballer, born 1885) (2nd nomination); Alvaldi corrected me on that point.
The suggestions in the essay seem to be long accepted wisdom at DRV and AfD, especially the informal timeframes for how long to wait before relisting. Should I start the process of elevating the essay to a guideline? Or would this be an unfortunate addition to our already excessive body of guidance? — Charles Stewart (talk) 14:41, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
