Hi there (talk). I think your bias is obvious. I would be happy to discuss it here. I have been to Arbcom, thanks, it is not necessary here. You dismiss this entry for what specific reasons? Kapya John Kaoma is an internationally recognized human rights advocate mentioned in news accounts with several awards and many books and essays. Is it because he is Black? An African by birth? Pro-LGTBQ? A Christian? A progressive? Please explain! I cannot understand your issues unless you put theme here in detail--on the appropriate entry page, not on my personal Page. I am forced to respond to this uncalled for arrogance and ignorance exhibited by(talk, advocating for the deletion of Kaoma. The claim that the Guardian Video was posted by Kapya Kaoma simply shows the maximum ignorance or mere laziness to follow Kaoma's works. Did Kaoma also post his coverage by The New York Times, Times (UK), Time magazine, The Economist, Mother Jones, and countless news organizations and academics around the world who have cited his works? (talk Love him or hate him, he is a leading and respectable scholar with great integrity. </sigh>@Chichi Chilufya - You and Chip.berlet suffer from the same malady, a lack of an understanding of the standards of Wikipedia. As I have told Chip, read WP:AGFand WP:UNCIVIL before responding or addressing editors. Second, your lack of understanding of what it takes to support and article is gigantic. The "coverage by The New York Times, Times (UK), Time magazine, The Economist, Mother Jones, and countless news organizations" are brief quotes or single line references - far from what is needed to support inclusion. There is no in-depth, non-trivial support. In spite of what you and Chip try to make out of this, his views are not at issue. The Wikipedia page for Kapya John Kaoma has had numerous additional cites added. Rev. Kaoma is recognized internationally as a leader in the struggle for human rights for the LGBTQ communities in Africa. This is documented in the new references. Chip.berlet (talk) 19:47, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
