Threats to Delete Page:

RE: Threats to Delete the Page

As per Hello ColinFine and 199.208.172.35, as per my knowledge the subject doesn't have enough independent coverage that establishes notability but I'm not 100% sure. The article is Jagraj Singh which was rejected at Draft:Jagraj Singh in October and then recreated. The article has some sources but they are either unreliable or passing mentions/interviews etc. but no coverage that discusses the subject in detail and that is the reason I wanted to know if only holding this award makes someone notable. I don't think I'll be able to nominate the article for deletion because the deletion page is protected so is there a way where I can add my request and someone else on my behalf nominate it after their research?

An individual who has had an ongoing dispute with me on Wikipedia has now decided to target this page I created. He has suggested because a draft failed for approval in October this means that this should also be deleted. Let me touch on a few points:

That previous draft: Included poorly sourced sources and didn't do the wikipedia page justice.

Whereas I have included sources from a variety of places such as:

  1. Official Government website such as the Points of Light Award provided to Jagraj Singh. https://www.pointsoflight.gov.uk/everythings-13/ , UK Prime Minister Theresa May even wrote a letter to him for his services.
  2. BBC (BBC) - One of the most trustworthy sources of information and citation As per BBC is a British publicly funded broadcaster. It is considered generally reliable. This includes BBC News, BBC documentaries, and the BBC History site (on BBC Online). However, this excludes BBC projects that incorporate user-generated content (such as h2g2 and the BBC Domesday Project) and BBC publications with reduced editorial oversight (such as Collective). Statements of opinion should conform to the corresponding guideline.
  3. The Times Newspaper - As per The Times, including its sister paper The Sunday Times, is considered generally reliable. 4. NBC News - https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/education-sikhism-takes-focus-they-called-me-osama-documentary-n582821 - "The film features British YouTuber Jagraj Singh conducting street interviews to see what people know about the Sikh religion." If you click on the video for further proof it includes the person in discussion. As per There is consensus that NBC News is generally reliable for news. General Secretary of the Sikh Council UK, Gurmel Singh, said: "It is deeply saddening news about the passing of Jagraj Singh today and all of our prayers are with Jagraj Singh's family in this truly difficult time. "He has been an inspiration for millions around the world and his contributions to the Sikh Community cannot be underestimated or forgotten.
