Varniab (Persian: ورنياب)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Ab-e Garm Rural District of the Central District of Sareyn County, Ardabil province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 215 in 47 households, when it was in the former Sareyn District of Ardabil County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 217 people in 70 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Sareyn County.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 247 people in 74 households.[2]
