If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on South India Saiva Siddhanta Works Publishing Society Ltd. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The article R.Muthukumaraswamy has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi! I have replaced the proposed for deletion template as you removed it without adding any sources. Please do not remove it again unless you (or someone else) provides the required reliable source. If you have any questions about this message, post below this one and I will reply.--CharlieDelta (talk) 07:15, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to R.Muthukumaraswamy, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Removing the tags doesn't make the problem go away. Please use the article talk page to discuss your views. I have left a message there to explain what needs to be done. You are welcome to respond eithere there or here. I have not replaced the proposed deletion tag as I'm hopeful that one of the sources you have found might turn out to be useful.--CharlieDelta (talk) 07:27, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for providing the link to the article in The Hindu, which I have now added as an in-line citation. That meets the criteria for the removal of the proposed deletion template. The other issues remain, however, and the maintenance tags should not be removed until those issues have been resolved. If you read the guidelines on referencing you will discover how to add citations correctly in the future. If you need any help or have questions on this, please post below this message and I will reply.--CharlieDelta (talk) 20:42, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the message on my Talk page. I'm happy to help as far as I can. In fact, there are plenty of other editors who are also willing to help out, particularly when someone new wants to start editing here. However, you do have to help yourself as well, by making sure that you understand how things work here before you jump in and start changing things. The best place to start is to ensure that you have read and understood the guidance offered through the links in the "Welcome" box above. I suggest that you start with the overview here (click here to follow the link). When you have read that, simply click on a blue link within the page to get to the next piece of advice.
The article on R.Muthukumaraswamy is in no immediate danger. It needs better sourcing to confirm that the subject meets the notability guidelines for scholars (which I suggest you read next). If you find any reliable sources which you think might be useful for providing the required evidence, I suggest that you post them on the article Talk page as that is where other interested editors will expect to look for indications that the article is being worked on.
Finally, please remember that you should log in to your User account and then sign your Talk page posts either by using the signature icon: ( or ) or by typing ~~~~, as either of these will automatically add your signature and a time-stamp.--CharlieDelta (talk) 06:51, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Maraimalai Adigal Library has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not establish context letalone notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest

Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.

As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.

If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.

You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.
