Aurochs subspecies

I see that your three broken-out articles have just been converted to redirects back to Aurochs#Subspecies. This seems a little premature to me – I'd started a discussion on what should be done with them at Talk:Aurochs#Proposed merges, but the discussion had not yet run its course. I've suggested that we leave them as redirects for the moment, but continue the discussion – would you care to contribute? No-one has yet spoken for retaining them.

You had put quite a bit of work into those articles, but don't feel upset at their being deleted – that's just how it goes on Wikipedia, and it doesn't imply anything personal. We are encouraged to be bold, but when we are we always take the risk that others will not agree with what we've done. Regards, Richard New Forest (talk) 09:40, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
