Is this because my Sandbox contains several articles, not just one? I have read the book Lying for the Admiralty by Margaret Cameron-Ash which reads like a detective story, only it is true. I will fill them with the appropriate Sandbox text. Wimbledon32 (talk) 20:43, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 1

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Port Jackson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Clyde and Carlingford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:40, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pages moved to draft space

Hi there! Your articles, Draft:Lying for the Admiralty and Draft: Margaret Cameron-Ash don't seem ready for mainspace yet. A wikipedia article about a book or a person has to cite sources that are not related to the author or the book themselves, like book reviews or newspaper and journal articles. Please move the article back to main space once you have added independent, reliable sources. Thank you! Mcampany (talk) 23:14, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Diamond Crossing 2 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Talk pages are not a discussion forum

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you.—J. M. Nomination of Occupation crossing for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Occupation crossing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Occupation crossing until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.   // Timothy :: talk  06:47, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, my apologies for not leaving this note sooner. I was the editor that nominated the article for deletion. I genuinely hope you don't find this discouraging, although I know from experience this is hard to do. Please contribute to the discussion on the nomination page. It's certainly possible it will not be deleted if you make a good case and others agree with you; I'm completely open to changing my mind if you convince me. Writing an article can be very difficult if you're new to Wikipedia and it often takes some time and experience before success. Although I don't believe the article is on a notable topic, I do think it was well written and hope you continue to contribute. If you believe you can find more sources to provide evidence of WP:N notability, I'd be happy to request the article be moved to your draft space so you can continue to work on it; alternatively, you can post the sources on the nomination page or add them to the article for others to consider. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know and I genuinely do hope you're not discouraged. Best wishes,   // Timothy :: talk  02:29, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
