Mariano Gagnon

Just as an FYI, some of us have updated the page you created and expanded it a bit. Feel free to help out or just to read it. Also, if you have an obituary confirming his death or some other source, it would be helpful to add it, or if you don't know how to cite, reply here or on my talk page and I can do it. We've split the baby by not mentioning the death date or that he is dead, but also referring to him in the past tense. We have a pretty strict policy about living persons and recently deceased people, so we can't mention their death unless there is confirmation in sourcing. DYK for Mariano Gagnon

On 21 May 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mariano Gagnon, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Mariano Gagnon was a Franciscan friar who organized airlifts to help refugees escape the Shining Path? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mariano Gagnon. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mariano Gagnon), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
