Hi there Wishwajraval, your question on the talk page seems more relevant to the Comparison of MD and DO in the United States article. The best approach is to use high-quality peer-reviewed journal articles that are secondary sources for information per WP:MEDRS. AACOM is fine as a reference, but not on its own since it's a primary source. It's not what would be viewed as an "independent source". In other words, because it's a definition of osteopathic physicians by osteopathic physicians, the writers of the content are considered too close to the topic. If used in conjunction with an independent source that also verifies the definition or content you're trying to add, that usually strengthens the edit in my experience. Also, not to be critical, but I think the sentence you added to the article could be written better. I would try again using your sandbox. That's really the best place to try out test edits instead of the actual page itself. Instead, you may want to add a source stating that the philosophy of osteopathic medicine often puts extra emphasis on viewing the body as a whole and use a high-quality peer-reviewed journal article (preferable a secondary source such as a review article from a noteworthy and trusted journal) to support the statement. By the way, remember that your comments on talk pages belong on the bottom of the section you're adding to since they're new comments and they should always be signed.
