The Miss Malini image is in Public domain. This implies that the image is out of copyright and considered a free one, where as the image that you'd added is a fair-use image. You have a misconception that any high quality image which portrays the subject in a nice way must be preferred. Please read WP:IUP. —Vensatry (Ping me) 15:22, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Hmmm, I can confidently say that you never made an attempt to read the policy. In your upload you have not mentioned from where the image was taken and stated the date to be unknown. But you have cleverly tagged the image to be under PD India. I don't know how that is possible. image trouble

some images i uploaded should be visible in google images search, but they are not! why? these are the "suffering" images: File:Pudhiya Paravai New Bird.jpg, File:Veerapandiya Kattabomman Poster.jpg and File:Thennilavu.jpg. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:29, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

It's very simple. The "Alibaba" and "Uthamaputhiran" images were uploaded a few months back and henceforth is visible in the image search result (only the WP pages are listed). For recently uploaded images it may take some time. —Vensatry (Ping me) 06:38, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

May be! I'd still not support the statement because it did not fetch her any award like what Suchitra Sen got for Saat Pake Bandha. IMO that is universal/international acclaim or whatever you may call. A film doing well overseas no way implies that the lead character is solely responsible for the same or it doesn't make them a big star there overnight. I'm unsure about the fact that how many audience outside India would be aware of Vidya Balan. Acclaim means appreciation from a noted authority. Critics, both from India and outside praised her performance, that could easily be summarized as a universal acclaim. Awards are also one form of acclaim, but they are not the only one! Could you point out one negative remark from a notable critic or judge on her performance? "Universal acclaim" is a little subjective and highly challenging. I never said that her performance in the film got negative/mixed reviews. I was only concerned about the "universal acclaim". In this case, "universal acclaim" is bordering on wp:peacock. Why do not you use exatcly what you are trying to convey by the term"universal". Borrowing fom a post above, "...critics from both India and abroad were unanimous in applauding her performance" -- this clause can be used instead of "universal". this troublesome cockroach

User:MikeWazowski is not a part of any Indian task force on wiki. Yet he is continuosly eradicating the article Chitti (character) without any discussions, just because the character's notability (in his opinion) appears low to him. User:Eelamstylez77 has all the reasons for allowing the article to live, and I support him. So how do we block Mike from editing Chitti article now?   • Project Coordinators have been chosen for effective administration of the project. Dipankan001 has been chosen as the lead coordinator. Vibhijain and TheSpecialUser has been elected as the coordinator and the vice-coordinator respectively. Each placeholder is expected to distribute awards to those who have assisted in completing the task of the month. General administration of the project will be done by the lead coordinator. The coordinator will have a general watch over the project to make sure that it is not inactive, along with preparing the newsletter. The vice-coordinator will further invite those users, who have been regularly contributing to IPL related articles, to join the project. The term for each coordinator will be of 6 months.
  • Chennai Super Kings have been chosen as the collaboration of the month. Editors will try to get the article to FA or GA status. At the end on the month, contributing editors will be given the following awards:
    The IPL barnstar - Will be given to all those who will help in getting the article to FA/GA status.
    The golden wiki barnstar - Will be given to the editor with most number of edits on the article during the month of June.
    The silver wiki barnstar - Will be given to the editor with the second most number of edits on the article during the month of June.
    The bronze wiki barnstar - Will be given to the editor with the third most number of edits on the article during the month of June.
    The citation barnstar - Will be given to the top 3 editors who will improve and add most number of refs.(The editors are requested to mention "ref+" or "refimprove" in their edit summary; in order to make reviewing easy)
    The copyedit barnstar - Will be given to the top 3 editors who will make the most number of copyedits. This includes minor changes, such as neutralizing, grammar correction, etc.
    The working editor's barnstar - Will be given to the top 3 editors who will dedicate most time in making new sections, fixing them (such as renaming, making sub-sections, etc.) or adding information which was not previously present in the article (recent announcements, facts, creating tables, etc.).
  • Members of the project can now add Template:User IPL Member to their userpage, which will indicate that they are an active member of WikiProject IPL. Also editor can award the IPL barnstar or the IPL barnstar of Merit to those users who are greatly involved in the project.
