I reverted your changes to Muslim. I looked back through various versions of the page, and all had the word as 'Koran'. I think the idea is to use a spelling that most English-speakers can use to come close to the 'right' way to say the word. Sometimes it can look wrong to your eyes, I understand. My name 'Shenme' actually sounds more like 'shem muh'. Anyway, I looked to see that that was the agreed upon way to spell the word by looking in older versions of the article.
I don't remember much about the 'PBUH' and 'SAW' discussions, but I think it ended up that, again, English-speakers and those from other cultures would get confused with all the honorifics added to the text. So they are being left out.
Anyway, in the future if you have questions about why an article looks or reads a certain way, please ask questions on the article's talk page, for instance Talk:Muslim, which you can get to by clicking on the 'discussion' link at the top of the article page. Shenme 02:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
