PS - You've written a good starter for your user page. To get it out of that text box, just remove the space at the beginning; every line of code on Wikipedia should start exactly at the left edge, without any spaces to begin. I look forward to seeing your work throughout the semester. Neelix (talk) 03:42, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Neelix! I was wondering why it looked like that. Much appreciated! Tmo32 (talk) 03:45, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello...finally !!!

Hi Tiffany, Sorry about the slow communication, I am taking three classes: this one, Foundations of Algorithms, Practical Computer Concepts; so sometimes I can't get to things right away. Well, it looks like you have some chemistry experience, too. It sounds like you have a very important job at the protein bio-marker company. I live in Newport Beach, CA. and it seems like there are a lot of people involved in the bio-tech industry here. I used to work at Allergan (maker of Botox) as a research scientist; I am afraid this is my only bio-tech experience otherwise I have mostly done advanced physical chemistry. I also like spicy food, in fact, my friends sometimes look at me in disbelief during our dinners together.

Yes, I was surprised we had a graded quiz, I need to read the syllabus more carefully. I guess I will just open up all my old ungraded ones and hope they are helpful. Anyway, are we supposed to post something about our topic today ?

Deacon C (talk) 19:36, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Christopher. Good to hear from you! Sounds like you have a full load! Are you also working? I'm taking 2 classes, this one and Clinical Development of Drugs and Biologics. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for my job also being pretty demanding. So far, I'm surviving by counting down the semester until graduation and trying to learn as much as possible between now and then.
By the end of this unit, we are supposed to update our sandbox with a summary of the characterstics of a B class and GA article as defined by wikipedia. I don't know when we'll actually pick our topic.
Tmo32 (talk) 22:00, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was confused, I thought we were supposed to give a summary of our topic and not the evaluation. I have it straight now. Look forward to working with you.

Cool! I just added another section on your talk page because I noticed this week's assignment said to have 2 conversations on each of our talk pages. Just in case that meant 2 sections, I added another...pointless other than to show I know how Tmo32 (talk) 22:25, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why not ???

What the heck, here's my other section...

Deacon C (talk) 22:31, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Impressive spade! I'm trying this from my iPhone, so we'll see how this renders. Have a good night! Tmo32 (talk) 23:37, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, well I was trying to figure out a way to make my responses quickly recognizable as opposed to others and I thought the spade would catch your eye, but since we are the only two people,
maybe it is redundant. Your message came through fine and so iPhone can work for this. Just finished for today; started at 10 AM and now it's 8:30 PM and I only had two 15 minute breaks. I think
there is something screwy with the quiz, but I have to ask Dr. Ogg. Think I will have some Chardonnay: I already have a headache, how much worse can a hangover make it ? Oh,if you read this tonight...
Dr. Ogg suggested we add our Sandbox page to each other's watchlist. I know how to add the page, but I am not sure how to get there or even if I can.

Sorry I didn't get this last night. In the course activities, if you scroll through them, you'll see links to my sandbox. That's how I found yours and added it to my watchlist. There is probbaly a more direct way...like, hey, here's a link to my sandbox :) Tiffany's Sandbox. Tmo32 (talk) 15:26, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tiffany, I am sorry I got a little behind in my classes. I had to drop my algorithm class as it was just too much. I am still cleaning up the spillage, I got my other computer homework handed in and finished two more posts for this class today. I sent a note to Dr. Ogg asking if we are restrained to any particular articles or if we can use them all ? Do you know ? My reason for asking this is that some of the articles seem to have red and blue main editors. Anyway, I will post my selections tomorrow 2/27 and then I will be caught-up again. I apologize, I really don't want to hold things up or make you worry. Things will go faster now, that other class was just taking too much time!!!
Deacon C (talk) 02:13, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to hear you had to drop a class. I hope it alleviates some stress and allows you to catch up.

I think we can use any that haven't already been claimeed by one of our classmates. Once we pick one, we have to claim ours by editing the table via the link provided in the Unit 6 assignment description. I have looked through them a couple of times and don't have a strong feeling one way or another about which we should choose. All will involve a pretty high level of research/effort. That being said, I'd vote for one of the following: Capping Enzymes, Esterase, Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme or Minigene. Do you have a strong feeling we should do a particular topic, either in the 4 I mentioned or another? We should try to decide ASAP, so we can get the one we want. They are filling up fast! Tmo32 (talk) 23:39, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tiffany, I just finished my two review of articles from the list section. I had to move the references section to the bottom of our reviews because one can only have one reference list and no citations can appear below it. You will now see all six of your references as opposed to just the three that were previously appearing. I'll send you an email of which articles I think are interesting no later than tomorrow morning. Sorry about the delay, I am almost caught-up again.
Deacon C (talk) 03:10, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tiffany, I put a rationale section for article selection on the group page; I made to separate sections for you and I. Let's each write a rationale and then combine them before the next unit (if I am reading the assignment correctly). I guess we have to build this in the sandbox section and then launch it...my mistake.

Hello

Hi Tiffany

I am one of your online ambassadors. I am around to help you out online. You can contact me by email or on my talk page. Since I'm in Australia my timezone is quite different to yours. I have no special knowledge of molecular biology, but I am hoping that you can write so that I can understand it! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:36, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Graeme Bartlett! Thank you for the introduction and for your help with the Minigene stub page. I really appreciate your assistance! Tmo32 (talk) 20:31, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A bowl of strawberries for you!

Thank you for your work as part of the Molecular Biology course project. I hope you enjoyed editing Wikipedia, and hope you continue to edit it whenever you find problems, or find something that you would like to add. Don't hesitate to contact me or any of the other OAs with any questions, any time you want.

I wish you well in your future studies! Klortho (talk) 02:18, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
