Welcome

Hello, TigrisDJ, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi there Amortias, could you help me create a bio page similar to Avicii or David Guetta? That is my goal here on Wikipedia, to have a bio page about my career as a DJ since i have been doing this for a long time now.

I can't find any link or way to start such a page myself. IF you have the time and want to help me, i can fill it out with as much text and material as needed. TigrisDJ (talk) 22:31, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged due to the inherent conflict of interest. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as articles written by newspapers or reputable music magazines. Your deleted draft cited no such sources and gave no indication that you meet Wikipedia's standards of notability. Without such sources Amortias cannot write an article about you either (and we explicitly cannot base it on what you say about yourself). For comparison, the David Guetta article cites DJ Mag, Billboard, the BBC, Associated Press and others. Those are the kinds of references we'd need. Huon (talk) 23:04, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is why i said that i want to collaborate with someone who knows their way around Wikipedia and collect said information from third party sources. There is no CONFLICT of interest, only an INTEREST to get the right information out in a similar fashion as other Swedish or international DJs have before me. I might not be famous enough that Mixmag or any other big music media outlet will write about me (which i don't see as a requirement to make a biography page). However, the information i put in to this page will be nothing but correct and concrete facts that none other than me can answer or give, like dates for acquiring certain hardware or software, session dates (i can provide some fliers for those, but not all), Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Mixcloud pages and so on... all i need is someone to work with that knows this page and what content, reference or citation i need to provide to verify my inputs, i can provide it, given that i am told what i need to provide.

Snippets of example:

(note! the text below is translated for international reading, if you want to verify, copy the text on the page and use google translate)

Tigris Live | Track Update @ Www.Neradio.Fm is the 100+ most played artist on the radio. The artist has been played a total of 78 times since 2014-04-28, and has to our knowledge, not released an album and is played on average with 5 day intervals.

http://www.neradio.fm/?p=personal
the radio station that i broadcast on twice a week, listed near the bottom of the page since i have been with them for 7 years (screen capture can be provided to prove this)

EDIT: http://beta.edm.me/artist/tigris-dj
found this as well.

I just want to see an actual Bio page about the career that i have made so far, instead of loose pieces of information and sometimes not even correct information floating around all over the internet. This drive comes from an increasing fan base and people recognizing me at various events. Thusly, getting inquiries as to why they can't find any info on me or rather my DJ career anywhere on the net. So, in conclusion, HELP ME! instead of giving me a textbook advise answer.

I already told you what kinds of references we need: Reliable published sources like newspapers or reputable music magazines, sources which are subject to editorial oversight and have a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy, but are not affiliated with you. The radio station where you broadcast on twice a week clearly is not such an independent source, and the other two references you gave above don't meet Wikipedia's standards either. A quick Google News search didn't find anything useful either, though I may have missed something among all the river-related false positives. I don't see that you meet Wikipedia's standards of notability; unless you know of better sources that cover you in some detail, say articles about you in Aftonbladet or Dagens Nyheter, Wikipedia cannot have an article about you. In particular, even if such sources are found, the article would summarize what the sources report; it would not be a place for your self-representation. If you need a place online to provide accurate information about yourself, I'd suggest MySpace or Facebook. Huon (talk) 01:03, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As previously stated, i already have a Facebook, Twitter, Mixcloud and Soundcloud TigrisDJ (talk) 01:33, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did contest the deletion but there was no reaction. Seeing as the marking of the page was almost instant.
