Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to 2020 Summer Olympics, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Please feel free to use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your additions were nothing to do with the 2020 Summer Olympics. David Biddulph (talk) 13:34, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No Number Nine moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to No Number Nine. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boleyn (talk) 18:14, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your help. I have added a source now - the page on my publisher's website. Can you publish the page now please? Thebigbookhead (talk) 07:18, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Two things

Hi,

First, please don't create multiple drafts/articles on the same subject, like you did with Draft:No Number Nine2 and Draft:No Number Nine.

Second, do I take it that you're the author of this No Number Nine book? If so, you have a conflict of interest (COI), which must be disclosed. I will post a separate message below, please read and action it.

Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:46, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Thebigbookhead. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:47, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks, I didn't realise people couldn't create pages about themselves! Yes this is my book so there is a conflict of interest. Really, what prompted me to want to create the page was so that I could be included on the 'Olympic Games in Fiction' category page.
Sorry about creating two pages - I was confused about why my draft page hadn't been published. Could you please delete both draft pages as I don't know how to do that?
I will attempt to create another book page only when the book(s) in question have significant coverage, hopefully some time in the future. Thanks for your help and sorry to waste your time. Thebigbookhead (talk) 15:10, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
