Hey User:Nepali keto62, I appreciate you being vigilant. I think I may have accidentally saved a version of my page in process as I was creating it, which is the version you flagged for deletion. It is a translated article from Wikipedia NL from the Classical Composers Request List. I left a note on the AFD page you created with some details. I look forward to a resolution of the issue and apologize for the error. --TheLeaper (talk) 02:48, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Then be careful from next time and don't accidently save it before you fully complete it giving suitable references and links. Remember wikipedia only accepts notable articles with reliable sources. NepaliKeto62Talk to me 04:15, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry too much about this editor's sense of urgency here - taking a fresh article to AfD after two minutes is very irregular, and general consensus is that editors should wait ten or fifteen minutes before even speedy-tagging an article. Thanks for your contributions! --McGeddon (talk) 07:25, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your input. I will try my best to avoid saving the article early in the future anyway! --TheLeaper (talk) 14:35, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for the review!! I worked very hard to consolidate sources for that article. I'm pleased that you think it's a good one. --TheLeaper (talk) 17:39, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Amazing

You do realize that five articles out of 250 edits is quite an amazing feat. This comes to 50 edits per article. Where as in my case this would be 18,053 to 69 or 262 edits are needed per article! This is as Bfpage. I don't know what the numbers are for Barbara (WVS). YOU GO (some non-gender-based-identifying-object-pronoun). Help

Is [1] in the public domain? Best Regards,

Barbara (WVS) (talk) 12:11, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Questionable. The form itself should be in the public domain, but material owned by another party (the maps on the last 2 pages, presumably) may be subject to copyright. What part of this are you hoping to use? --TheLeaper (talk) 21:28, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
not sure yet. ~~

Help

I'm working on an article of an obscure Pittsburgh composer. whose name is Zitterbach. If you can find just a few references for me, I would surely appreciate it since you have identified your expertise in music. Also, do you have OCR and software that would take a manuscript of his and translate it into something we can hear? He has 1,300 manuscripts in the archives and most have never been performed, even by him. No hurry, I won't be active again until May sometime, I have to go back to school. Best Regards,

Barbara (WVS) (talk) 10:37, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting! I'll check it out. I don't know anything about him, but I'll see what I can find. Regarding the software, it's not too hard to put written music into a program that will spit out a synthesized version. If they have developed music OCR, that would be pretty amazing. I'll look into this as well. Sounds like a great opportunity to explore the music of one of our own. P.S. is it Zitterbach or Zitterbart? --TheLeaper (talk) 14:48, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I ran into Deane Root and he didn't know anything about this composer except that he has heard some of his work. Can you remind me of time of the meet-up? I'll check back on your talk page later this morning. Best Regards,
Barbara (WVS)   13:28, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've been asking around and nobody I know has heard of this composer. I'll keep asking! There is a Beginner Wikipedia workshop today at 1pm to 3pm in Hillman Library. --TheLeaper (talk) 15:47, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. I have class until 4pm. We'll get together another time. Best Regards,

Disambiguation link notification for March 10

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jerry Brubaker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chorus (music). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Happy Holiday Barnstar
How about combining a Barnstar with a Christmas Card? That is why this message is appearing on your talk page. Simultaneously and at the same time, this barnstar is conferred upon you because during this past year you worked and contributed your time to improve the encyclopedia. You also have received far too little recognition for your contributions. In addition, this is a small attempt at spreading holiday cheer. I've appreciated all the things that you have done for me.

Event coordinator granted

After reviewing your request for the "eventcoordinator" permission, I have temporarily enabled the flag on your account until 2019-02-09. Keep in mind these things:

  • The event coordinator right removes the limit on the maximum number of new accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period.
  • The event coordinator right allows you to temporarily add the "confirmed" permission to newly created accounts. You should not grant this for more than 10 days.
  • The event coordinator right is not a status symbol. If it remains unused, it is likely to be removed. Abuse of the event coordinator right will result in its removal by an administrator.
  • Please note, if you were previously a member of the "account creator" group, your flag may have been converted to this new group.

If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the event coordinator right. Happy editing! TonyBallioni (talk) 15:19, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
