Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "TheArtistsChateau", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because appears to be in reference to https://theartistschateau.com/, making it a promotional name and possible a shared account. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ballet, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You had multiple refs, but they were all just Wikilinks formatted as refs. Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but it appears that you were not actually trying to use them as sources, just as Wikilinks. Just enclose the article title in double square brackets. This [[Ballet]] gives the link Ballet. You will need to provide reliable sources for the actual claims that you made about cultural diversity, not just point to one particular ballet troupe. And please read WP:MINOR. That was not a minor edit. Meters (talk) 04:00, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am the publisher of The Artists' Chateau and I am interested in joining this platform in an effort to contribute and celebrate cultural, and Fine Arts. I am participating on Wikipedia for the very first time and I have been watching tutorials regarding getting started on Wikipedia. As well - I have Googled how to create a presence on Wikipedia and been researching on the Wikipedia site to learn more. If you may be able to assist me and share pointers that are easy to understand - I would much appreciate that. I have noticed that such publications like: The Robb Report, The Oprah Magazine etc. are publications that have found an approved home on Wikipedia. I have been getting abreast of the guidelines here on Wikipedia and I believe that I can be a valuable educational resource on this site as well. Please allow me a road map to success, as you seem to be very acquainted with this platform.

Thank you, TheArtistsChateau TheArtistsChateau 04:21, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

First, to add a timestamped signature just end your talk page posts with ~~~~ . To indent talk page posts use one colon per level of indent (and repeat for each new paragraph). My entire reply is indented with one colon.
You will have to change your username, or create a new account since your current user name is a violation of the username policy. See the instructions above.
As the publisher of The Artists' Chateau you are welcome to edit articles, but you would have a conflict of interest in creating, or even editing, an article about The Artists' Chateau. See WP:COI. You should also not add links to the website or use it as a reference in other articles.
As for whether The Artists' Chateau is notable enough for an article itself, see WP:N and the more specific page WP:NWEB.   Wikipedia reports what reliable sources (see WP:RS) have to say about subjects. It is not here to promote subjects. If the website is notable then there will be sources that discuss it in detail, and an article can be justified. Meters (talk) 04:48, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Your reply makes sense - regarding the difficulty in writing an article and editing an article with the user name as it is. I believe that I understand. May I have consideration in the manner of how could I have a Wikipedia page that describes what my publication is? As I am reading the O Magazine Wikipedia page - It starts with its origin. May I be allowed to do that - and then just participate on the site as a reader and use the watch page feature to see what is new, and to be more familiar with what my favorite pages are developing on Wikipedia?
Thank you again,

No, you may not create an article about your web site, not even just a little bit. It's not because of your user name. It's because you have a WP:CONFLICTOFINTEREST. You are the publisher, so you might even be considered a paid editor on that subject. See WP:PAID. And please read these links I am providing. Meters (talk) 05:47, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will begin reading the information that you have made available. I didn't realize the time - I will do this tomorrow. I will get more familiar then - after reading your information.

Is there an option that I can create a page that describes The Artists' Chateau and not write any articles? Just to have The Artist' Chateau listed in the encyclopedia? To create a Table of Contents instead of any articles? I thank you once again, and I will be sure to go over the material that you shared tomorrow/ this weekend. There is a means for requesting the creating of an article, but read the links and deal with your user name and COI issues first. Meters (talk) 23:31, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
