If you feel that I have reverted an edit or issued a warning in error, please click here and let me know. I am human, and I do make mistakes. Please don't interpret an error on my part as a personal attack on you. It's not, I promise. I ask you to simply bring it to my attention; I am always open to civil discussion. (I will respond on your talk page.) Thank you.

Rollback

Following your recent request at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback, and the edits you've made since, I've re-reviewed your contributions, and would be happy to grant you rollback if you still want it. Let me know if you do, and I'll set the permission for you. Keep up the good work! —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 13:26, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks.  —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 17:05, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have requested semi-protection for The Little Orphan. Since you have reverted several times already, you may wish to chime in here. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 22:13, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anything we can do about the guy who's been sitting on the page recently? I'm not well-versed in Anti-Vandalism techniques, so I don't know if I was right to request semi protection for this article. It's been getting out of hand with this particular vandal. Is there any way to block his IP? Thanks for the help with reverts, by the way. Kithira (talk) 02:03, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kithira! I am also fairly new, so I will let you know my understanding of the situation; however, you may want to ask someone more experienced if I am correct in my assumptions...This type of situation seems to be first dealt with by reverting the edits in question, and then warning the vandal on their talk page. I have done so here. It seems as though this particular user is headed for blocking, but may decide to cease their unconstructive edits. If the user does not, semi or full protection may be decided upon by an administrator. Thank you for your interest in and help with the encyclopedia, and I f I can help any more, please don't hesitate to contact me.Thatguyflint Talk to me! 19:54, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You guys are idiots. My page was clear, concise, and accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Huhnad (talkcontribs) 20:12, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

While your edits may very well have been "clear, concise and accurate", they had no place in the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League article. If you would like to make a page about the "Patrick Malone Donation Fund", there are methods in place for that purpose.--Thatguyflint Talk to me! 20:33, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Steven Seagal

THE TRUTH IS NOT VANDALISM - Steven Seagal WAS rejected by the OCSD for his ties to organized crime and he NEVER attended ANY police academy in California - EVER. (unsigned by 96.41.73.122)

Hello! The information you placed on my talk page and the article may very well be true, in which case your edit dispute would be with user:NeilN, not me. What I reverted was the contention that the subject was an "alleged" actor, which is clearly not true. Whether or not he is an effective actor is certainly up for debate :), but he is definitely an actor. You can use the talk page for the article to discuss that. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia, and I hope you do not let this incident prevent you from contributing constructively.Thatguyflint Talk to me! 23:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 165.12.252.113! Thanks for not taking my revert badly! If I might make a suggestion: The article's talk page might be a more appropriate place for questions and comments of that sort. By being bold one would probably revert or undo the edit, and then post the question on the talk page. It would probably be a good idea to use the edit summary to let anyone know that you felt the information had no place in the article. Thanks, and happy editing! Hello Bubby9534. No, I am not an administrator. I hope that my revert was not taken as overstepping my bounds by you or anyone else. The part that is bothering me is that I can't seem to find the revert in question. I believe this is due to the page having been deleted. I was using Huggle, and therefore I think I can safely say that I determined the edit to at least look like vandalism, but without seeing it I can't say for certain. Is it the deletion you are wondering about? Thatguyflint Talk to me! 18:41, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If it is indeed the deletion you are wondering about, you may wish to ask User:SchuminWeb or User:Acroterion. It looks to me like Acroterion thought of the article as a test edit and SchuminWeb speedily deleted it. Thatguyflint Talk to me! 18:46, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland page

Hi there,

This is most bizarre. Someone came in and blanked the Ireland page; I reverted it and logged off. But I just looked at the history and it looks like I inserted all sorts of foulness. Nonconstructive is putting it mildly. I don't often edit WIkipedia, and would certainly not spend my time doing this sort of editing.

Anyway, I'll change my password in case someone is editing using my username.

Rick Rude

I honestly believe that I saw Rick Rude in Knoxville the other day. He was working at the Piggly Wiggly. I may have been incorrect in my assumption that his wife and children left him, but after packing on roughly 80 lbs, the career change and what not, it wasn't a stretch of the imagination to guess (perhaps rightly?) that they did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.169.234.107 (talk) 02:15, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i put "the jersey devil is my 4th grade teacher" bcuz my frend dared me 2.. i thought it was pretty funny so i did it.. btw my 4th grade teacher was really mean!!! so u understand my pain... also i read other complants, and you said "wikipedia is for history, not for fun" or something like that!! well thats boring... if people read what i said, they are gonna know an unauthorized person of wikipedia inserted that! what's the harm of doing that?

Response here Thatguyflint Talk to me! 03:18, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question.

Hello, As you told me before, I should not put jokes or anything fun on Wikipedia. Well, I typed in "mean teachers" in the search box, and it gave me a list of "Drake and Josh episodes". I just want to know how to make a page for "mean teachers". Do users make pages, or does the head person of Wikipedia make the pages?

P.S. My teacher was way meaner than the Jersey Devil! She banged her head on the black board, and broke it! She slappes us with books, hard-cover books! She broke my thumb! She called my 4-page, hand- written essay "stupid nonsense"!!!

Sheldon Cooper

Regarding my edit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheldon_Cooper?diff=336462598 on the Sheldon Cooper article, it was not vandalism. I was just changing a few sentences that I obviously left unchanged and incomplete, due to the fact that I revised and heavily edited the article.

For instance, the sentence

"Sheldon embraces his genius fully and is not ashamed of sharing his interest in admitting he does not mind sharing details of his life that Leonard finds embarrassing, such as a common activity being Klingon Boggle."

is obviously redundant and incomplete. I just wanted to remark

"Sheldon embraces his genius fully and is not ashamed of admitting his interests" (which may be unconventional)

Also, the sentence about his clothing is reworded, but in no way is vandalized.

In my opinion this does not constitute vandalism. I will revert your edits. 189.235.173.9 (talk) 23:45, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Electric Ladyland, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

   * Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
   * Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:03, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Operation Entebbe

The change I made significantly increased the readability of the article. Linking to henry kissinger (as he had not been mentioned before) allows the reader of the article to more closely follow the article, as it becomes rather disjunct at that point in presenting multiple opinions (an evil of any writing of that style)

Thanks

Shared IPs

In my country (New Zealand) we are assigned our IP. I was told I was making edits on a page that I had never seen before.

This isn't good as you're wrongfully telling people they're be unconstructive.

Who knows the number of times you've sent messages on user talk to people who just got assigned the IP? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.180.98.132 (talk) 14:33, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disambiguation link notification for June 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Saadallah Agha al-Qalaa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Qanun (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
